WoW & Guild Wars 2: X-hardware check in
Two mice for real gamer: If it's cold and wet outside, makes the games so much fun. We tested two current gaming rodent and tell you what they are good.
SteelSeries WoW MMO Gaming Mouse order at Amazon
SteelSeries gaming mouse Guild Wars 2
The biggest opponent of the MMO king World of Warcraft is still Guild Wars 2, an excellent fantasy RPG with no monthly costs. Here, too, SteelSeries has secured the rights and brought a corresponding mouse on the market. The shape and layout of the rodent based on the SteelSeries Xai known. This means that they can be operated by right-and left-handers alike - the symmetrical design is thanks. The mouse has a total of eight freely programmable buttons - four of them on the top and two on the left and right.
Visually, the Guild Wars 2 mouse is advised very pretty. The basic color of the slender white rodent is only interrupted by the red-black logo of the Guild Wars 2 gold game and some appropriate embellishments and the orange wheel. The sliding properties are strong - they can easily be used on almost any surface. This is a good technique and a laser sensor, which can be adjusted in small steps by driver menu.
assessment
Despite Guild Wars 2 logo is the SteelSeries mouse relatively unobtrusive and stands out from the shape of little known Vertetern. It is still very good in the hand, and the modern technology does the rest, and provides fast and accurate moves clicks every PC game. Compared to WoW mouse is indeed much cheaper, but that does not a bargain. About 70 euros you have to put the Guild Wars 2 mouse on the table. In relation to the performance of the price offered is a total fine.

Save $35 On Guild Wars 2's Digital Deluxe Edition
There are many MMORPGs in the world, and -- no, wait. Each is a world of its own. And if you're crazy sufficient to need to dip your toes into all of them, just like yours genuinely, then you'd have no time for the genuine world. Personally, when it comes to considering new MMOs I find myself weighing up the expenditure costs -- both that of time & income -- and with the existing sale on Guild Wars two, the gobbling-up of my time appears slightly less tragic.
So here's how it works: the Digital Deluxe edition, which was already on sale at $20 beneath the usual cost, has now had a further $15 shaved off it. Basically, that is just $45 for a subscription-zero cost MMO that we named "fantastic" in our assessment. That plus the existing, adorable-as-heck Wintersday event means that if you've been thinking of assessing GW2's waters, there's honestly no better time for it.
Get in before Christmas, though. The gw2 gold sale's on for 3 days only, ending at 12pm PST on Christmas Eve.

Boys split pair of opening week games
The La Crescent High School boys basketball team began its season a week later than its first 2 contenders of the 2012-13 season. When the Lancers took to the road, their first 2 competitors each had 2 games in hand.
Although that did not quit the Lancers from showing well, falling by a handful of points in their opening game — in which they had a last-2nd shot to win — & winning big in their second contest.
Zumbrota-Mazeppa 71, Lancers 67. La Crescent opened its season on Dec. 11 when it made the long trip to Zumbrota-Mazeppa to face a team that already had 2 games under its belt. The gw2 gold game featured a lot of offense as the Lancers amassed 67 points, but it wasn't enough to overcome a 13-point halftime deficit.
La Crescent fell behind 40-27 at halftime, though played better in the second half, nearly turning the tables by outscoring the Cougars 40-31 in the 2nd half. On the other hand, that 4-point margin was adequate for the home team to pick up its first win of the season.
Zack Melbostad had a powerful season-opening effort, leading all scorers with 20 points. Nate Peterson and Ben McCoy also had solid efforts, scoring 15 and 13 points, respectively, to keep the game close.
"We did not start particularly well. We got down 17 at 1 point in the very first half & were down 13 at the half," head coach Aaron Arneson said. "We did not do a astonishing work of making them miss. However, in the second half, we came out with more intensity & began out on an eight-0 run. We in the end took a one-point lead that we could not hold on to."
The Lancers had a shot with about two seconds left to win, though it wouldn't fall.
"I was pleased that we kept battling on the road in our first game versus a team that had already played 2 games," he mentioned.
La Crescent scoring: Zack Melbostad 20, Nate Peterson 15, Ben McCoy 13, Payton McQuin seven, Joe Sandvik 6, Graham Eddy four, John Gurholt 2.
Lancers 64, Pine Island 45. La Crescent traveled to Pine Island for a uncommon Saturday afternoon game. Maybe the Lancers would like to play the oddly scheduled time more, as they came away with a convincing 19-point victory.
La Crescent used a solid first-half effort to leave minimal doubt as to the final outcome, in spite of one other half of basketball to play. The Lancers (1-1) jumped out to a 39-17 on the Panthers (0-3) at halftime, & although they were outscored 28-25 in the 2nd half, it made no distinction in the outcome of the game.
Melbostad and Peterson combined for 27 points & 25 rebounds — 15 for Melbostad and ten for Peterson — to help the Lancers to the big halftime lead. Having said that, it was sophomore Payton McQuin that led all scorers with 17 points.
"We spent the subsequent 3 days after the Zumbrota game troublesome our players to pay more attention to detail, as we felt that was what we lacked against Zumbrota," Arneson stated. "We needed to focus on doing the tiny points better: closing out high hands, boxing out, anticipating cutters and not trailing screens. We did that on Saturday. I felt like much of what we worked on was executed by our players."
La Crescent scoring: Payton McQuin 17, Zack Melbostad 16, Nate Peterson 11, Ben McCoy 8, Zach Duerwachter five, Graham Eddy 5, Nick Rogich two.
This week, the Lancers open the home portion of their schedule, which started on Tuesday with a game against Winona Cotter. On Friday, Kasson-Mantorville comes to town for a 7:15 p.m. game.

Breakout the WvW Modifications
ArenaNet programmer Habib Loew took the the official forums to update Tyrians on a lot of the work the team has been doing to boost World vs World. The list of adjustments was short, then again it should have a profound impact on the gameplay. And seeing the systemic changes to WvW start to roll out with each patch has me undeniably glowing with excitement.
The most fascinating addition to the battlefield will be Breakout Events. These are events that trigger anytime a server has lost control of all points on a map (provide camps don't count for this). The event spawns a powered up NPC commander that leads a siege on the closest tower to that server's spawn point on the map. This really is a extraordinary addition to help teams get out of their spawn a bit and need to help alleviate a lot of the spawn camping we see in the game buy guild wars 2 gold now.
There is a lot of risk for abuse with this procedure. Since a savvy server may leave you with one Tower to your name on the far side of the map. They would be giving up five points a tick, but they would stay clear of the Breakout Event & nonetheless get to spawn camp all they need. It appears these events may need to grow to be more regular than the proposed tactic allows. Making them trigger anytime your server controls 2 or less locations for 30 consecutive minutes i.e..
The fantastic news is now that we know there is a widely accepted sense strategy in place to help a down team they can readily widen on the method to make it less complicated to trigger. & I can not tell you how glad I am that this isn't a lot of silly stat strengthen program. I discussed my loathing of "forced balance" by making a poorly performing or outnumbered team have stat boosts to compensate This is even more fascinating, and it stays inside the scope of the battle without flatly fulfilling the losing team with a lot of gift. Based upon how tough it is to defend against these breakout events, this could give the winning servers something fascinating to do (instead of spawn camping) by attempting to defend against a Breakout event. All around I love this adjust although, a remarkable answer to a difficult challenge.
Other changes are more minor & common sense. 1 is to make players who Alt+f4 out of the client while in WvW die & award Exp and loot to any player who was fighting them. This is the most direct technique to prevent much of the abuses going on. The other is to broken walls & gates. Now it demands 10% wall health to restore the wall. This will quit what was a pretty widespread sight of the "flashing wall" where a wall would relentlessly flash in & out since it was so logical to spend one supply and bring it back up. This ought to prevent cheesey stalling by defending teams.
& lastly, & perhaps the most sweetest, is that ArenaNet is committing to advanced updates for all future WvW builds. This means no more discovering out the day of the reset what is new. & more news sooner about what is coming to the gw2 gold game is constantly welcome in my book.

Ask Immensely: Reviewing and re-reviewing MMOs
Back in September, Star Trek Online Producer Daniel Stahl gave an interview that proposed to tell game journalists how to do their jobs. That's only fair; we're always telling developers how to do their jobs, right? Stahl told [a]listdaily,
"The whole game rating business doesn't necessarily do a great justice to MMOs. MMOs are designed to grow over time and get better with every major release. It might be better if sites like Metacritic could find a way to rate MMOs by releases instead of just the initial day one . . . There are plenty of MMOs that have made huge strides since day one and some that have even gotten worse. Until then, we will continue to offer the game for free and ask for people to try it out and decide for themselves."
Quipped Massively reader Matthew12, "If only there were MMO gaming blogs and websites that keep up to date with the MMOs and their updates... oh wait; there are."
For as long as I've worked at Massively, the site has eschewed formal reviews and ratings. It's not a top-down policy; it's just the way we've always done things and the way that's always made the most sense to us.
Ratings, for example, bring with them a whole slew of problems. How do you assign a number to an entertainment form that can take months or even years to fully grasp and complete? We're not talking about a two-hour movie or a 20-hour single-player title that really has but one path to the finish. How do you overcome our natural inclination to misconstrue what the numbers or stars or whatevers mean? Is a 5/5 an A or an A+? Is a 5/10 an average C or a failing F? How do you avoid number-creep and the desire to compare one title to another and push the rating up just a tad until everything is a 99/100?
But Stahl is right in saying that reviews themselves are a problem, even when they don't come with a handy score you can plug into Metacritic. MMOs change over time. We get angry when they don't change and improve over time. Heck, many of my favorite gw2 gold games were pretty wretched at launch and needed a few more years to bake before I fell in love with them. Nevermind the fact that no one person can legitimately "review" every imaginable launch feature in an MMO in the timely manner expected by readers!
So traditionally, Massively has stuck to impressions and re-impressions pieces. We stream older games; we cover older games in Rise and Shiny and The Game Archaeologist and even in Choose My Adventure on occasion; we cover our favorite long-running MMOs in dedicated game columns; and we check in on the most popular MMOs for their birthdays and anniversaries. We're even working on a new column specifically to revisit games that have fallen off our collective radar. Once you realize that so much of our news is about games that are already out in the wild, you have to admit that a site like Massively is primarily focused on updating its readership about existing games and their patches and expansions. Even if we don't do formal reviews or hand out ratings, we are already exactly what Stahl is proposing -- just not necessarily for the reasons he proposed it.
Commenter JamesKephart countered Stahl's complaint with a really good reason not to re-review old MMOs:
"I really have a problem with the concept of giving MMOs a free pass to officially release a substandard title and give them time to fix it. Granted, an MMO is more complex than your latest generic brown military shooter, but if some AAA studio released a game that was half as buggy as some MMO launches, they would get poor reviews and that would be that. For games like STO to ask for the system to be changed just for them is to say that they deserve special treatment. MMOs can change over a long time, but so can all the single-player titles. With DLC and free patches, many titles have changed notably in their lifetime. Essentially, if you can't put together a decent enough gw2 gold game to grab people initially, then you really don't deserve a free second review when you put a new coat of paint on your outhouse."
There's also the tl;dr version by lucidrenegade: "If you wanted great reviews, you should have shipped a product that earned them." That might not be realistic, as reader Porculasalvania argued, as "sometimes you have to launch with what you have before you run out of money," but I think James and lucid are on to something.

Guild Wars 2: How to Demonstrate Your Game World's Beauty
Rowan Kaiser writes about Guild Wars 2's beautiful environments.
Part of the joy of open-world games comes from the rare moments of seemingly accidental beauty they provide. These are the gw2 gold games where it's possible to, say, come to the summit of a hill in Skyrim and see a foggy mountain in the distance from a new perspective. Or it's possible to creatively find yourself in a place you didn't expect to be in, like crashing a car to create a bridge in Far Cry 2.
Massively multi-player role-playing games since Everquest may have been built on a model of strictly regimenting player behavior, but even those their powerful moments. My favorite zone in World Of Warcraft was probably the corrupted Elven forest of Feralas, a region which seemed to be in a perpetual sunset, enhanced by some of the better music in WOW. I always looked interesting ways to view World Of Warcraft's geography. In Nagrand, I took my flying mount to each island hovering above the land. All were essentially barren, but I could see the beauty below, and anticipate what might be above.
I once tried to swim from the Swamp of Sorrows in the far southeast to the Badlands slightly north of there, but the cliffs surrounding Azeroth prevented my access, and so I slowly made my way north, crossing over half of the continent, until I arrived at the Hinterlands. I found some beauty in the recycled, lifeless cliffs. I also had fun trying a jump my way up those cliffs, and even made some impossible progress. There are a bunch of players who hop around the world looking for surprise holes or ways to reach the previously unreachable. Some do this to cause chaos, and grief other players. But many are just looking for the real boundaries of the game world. I liked watching them do this and reading about their exploits, but rarely felt encouraged to do so myself.
When I started up Star Wars: The Old Republic, there were special “Holocrons” scattered across the maps, which required a certain level of searching nooks and crannies early on. As you progressed into more difficult zones, finding the holocrons became more of a matter of looking them up on Google or YouTube. The idea of pushing players into the more hidden areas of the map is a good one, but the rewards promised by the holocrons—permanent stat increases, unavailable anywhere else—made them feel more mandatory than fun. Combined with the need to research their locations externally, they became more of an annoyance than a chance to show off the detail of the gw2 gold game world.
There is a sweet spot of beautiful visuals, of mechanical reward, and of exploratory gameplay that one game, finally, managed to hit. Guild Wars 2 has several “vistas” scattered throughout each of its regions. The point at the end is labeled on the map, and you get an experience reward when you find your way there. But actually getting to the vistas can be difficult. Not usually enough that you have to look up how it's done—but difficult enough that when you figure it out, there's a rush of success. And then, the reward of the game showing off its detailed, beautiful locations. Nothing gave me more joy in Guild Wars 2 than finding these points on the map, trying to access them, and then discovering how the game encouraged me to see its world.<source>

ArenaNet holds frank Reddit debate on Guild Wars 2 loot-grind
The no-gear-grind philosophy of Guild Wars 2 has been called into question, so developer ArenaNet has responded on Reddit.
Brief recap: a brand new Ascended armour type statistically more powerful than other end-game armours has been added to the game. ArenaNet said hardcore players needed more to do and more progression to chase. But the Guild Wars 2 community interpreted this as signs of an end-game gear grind - a mechanic ArenaNet chastised in the lead up to Guild Wars 2's launch. Did ArenaNet contradict itself?
"I hope we've been clear that GW2 is not a game with virtually no stat progression in it like GW1 was," ArenaNet co-founder and boss Mike O'Brien wrote on Reddit. "That's why GW2 shipped with a higher level cap, and with a hard separation between PVE and PVP.
"In GW1 we never advanced the level cap through four campaigns/expansions. The game design didn't allow for it. But GW2 was designed without those restrictions, and we've always expected that we will someday raise the level cap in GW2."
I put that last part in bold because it's the first I've heard of plans to increase the Guild Wars 2 level cap.
"That's why we've always said that GW2 rewards players through both progression and collection," O'Brien went on, "whereas GW1 primarily rewarded through collection. Presumably players aren't shocked that GW2 rewards through progression, since it has a level 80 cap.
"I would ask you to judge us by details and not by making slippery-slope arguments."
Mike O'Brien
"I wonder if the core sentiment is more this: It's only been two-and-a-half months! We don't even all have Exotics yet, and already you're introducing another tier. Is this the start of a power progression curve that I'll never be able to keep up with?
"I certainly appreciate that worry," he wrote. "I myself don't want a constant struggle, as exists in some other gw2 gold games, to keep my equipment viable. Then we're left with a balancing act: some progression is OK, but pushing players onto gear treadmill isn't OK and isn't what the game is about.
"So I would ask you to judge us," he concluded, "by details, and not by making slippery-slope arguments. We introduced a ton of new content in November, and the sum total of new progression rewards we added to go with it provided a 5-10 per cent stat increase in two of 12 slots. I hope you'll agree that that kind of very shallow and gradual progression does not force people onto a gear treadmill."
O'Brien said it was "important" for Guild Wars 2 to have that kind of "gradual" progression. And although "we made some mistakes with the way we introduced Ascended gear", he added, "I don't think they invalidate the fundamental concept that GW2 can have gradual stat progression without being a gear treadmill game".
So what "mistakes" were made with the introduction to Ascended gear?
Studio design director Chris Whiteside said "we did not intend for the information to come out this way, referencing a jumped-the-gun article on MMORPG.com [thanks Sirrush on Twitter].
Bizarrely, ArenaNet was apparently "acutely aware of what the reaction was going to be". "Yes, the response was definitively expected," Chris Whiteside admitted. So, err, why do it?
The first revelation was that "in retrospect it would have been better to have included Ascended gear at launch", wrote Whiteside. As we know, Ascended gear was designed to sit between Exotic and Legendary items. "It was not specifically designed before launch," Whiteside added. "However, the concept of progression rewards with a shallow curve bridging other rewards was." The whole debate about a new tier of armour being added post-launch to placate goalless hardcore players would have been avoided, too.
The second revelation or declaration, if you like, is that "we have no intention of adding a new rarity gear such as Ascended".
"Instead and as we evolve," Whiteside wrote, "the game's existing rarities will evolve over time. However, these will not be common occurrences. For example, full Ascended gear will be introduced over a long period of time ["throughout next year" he said later] and will be earned through lots of different parts/activities of the buy guild wars 2 gold game."
On a time-frame for rarity evolution he said: "The opportunity to enhance existing tiers of loot will not be through a regular cadence of monthly updates instead it is more likely to come from expansions or very big drops of content."
"We have never said there would be no vertical progression."
Chris Whiteside
Whiteside also reiterated that "it is absolutely not intended that Ascended will make a discernible difference in world versus world [battles]", but said players in these server-versus-server-versus-server battles will be able to acquire Ascended items "within that area of the game soon".
On the general topic of vertical progression - i.e. going upwards in power rather than sideways or horizontal: being as powerful but different - Whiteside said Guild Wars 2 has it and "we do intend to keep moving forward with this philosophy".
"We have never said there would be no vertical progression," he wrote. "We do intend to focus on horizontal but we will have vertical progression moving forward with the focus on zero grind and a very low power curve.
"Please understand that we see the community as a 'whole' and therefore are not intending to design again for one specific type of player over another. This is a misconception and one that is not promoted by the team. We will continue to develop the game for the community as a whole, offering gameplay that caters to lots of different types of players in a unified approach that will evolve over time based on feedback and the direction the team as a whole wants to take.
"Personally," he added, "I do not feel that the latest changes are against what we said in the manifesto. I do however feel that we do have to be very careful in regard to progression design turning into grind and I believe there are some instances of this kind of grind that pre-date the launch of the game. It is for this reason that we are looking to revamp some aspects of the game whilst connecting other parts increase the overall experience of fun in our progression mechanics."
Concluding, Chris Whiteside described all of this as "an exciting problem, but one that has been poorly communicated and handled". On the flip-side, the debate "helps us to answer and navigate larger questions we have in terms of the direction of the game moving forward", he said.
Whether or not you're appeased by ArenaNet's reaction here, at least you got one. It's uncommon in the world of MMOs for developers to frankly address the community's questions in this way, let alone pledge to do something differently because of them.
This is not Guild Wars 1 and was never intended to be, but what Guild Wars 2 was meant to be was different - different to other MMOs. Its test will be how well it resists the dangling carrots used to elongate those other worlds: the level-cap raises, the additional progression paths (PVP ranks) and the ever-more-powerful-loot grind. Perhaps such mechanics are unavoidable.
Question is: do you trust ArenaNet?

Guild Wars 2 Designer Explains Itemization Changes
The Lost Shores are feeling a little less lost this morning.
Yesterday, along with the lifting of the press embargo on the event, ArenaNet fleshed out the Lost Shores content page with a new video and some other details about the upcoming patch. We learned about a new dungeon, a new PvP map and perhaps most interestingly a new level of gear rarity dubbed "Ascended" gear, slightly more powerful than Exotic gear.
It's this last item that caused no small amount of confusion and concern in the buy Guild Wars 2 gold player community. So, late last night, ArenaNet designer Linsey Murdock took to the Guild Wars 2 blog to offer some clarification on exactly what players can expect from these Ascended items.
Many players were questioning why a new level of itemization was needed so soon in the game's life-cycle, and if this move represents the emergence of the oft-maligned "gear treadmill,", and in true ArenaNet fashion, Murdock addressed exactly that:
"As we watch Guild Wars 2 mature in its Live environment, we have found that our most dedicated players were achieving their set of Exotic gear and hitting “the Legendary wall.” We designed the process of getting Legendary gear to be a long term goal, but players were ready to start on that path much sooner than we expected and were becoming frustrated with a lack of personal progression. Our desire is to create a game that is more inclusive for hardcore and casual players alike, but we don’t want to overlook the basic need for players to feel like they are progressing and growing even after hitting max level. Adding item progression is a delicate process normally undertaken in an expansion, but we feel it’s important to strive to satisfy the basic needs of our players sooner rather than later."
This Ascended gear, however, is only one piece of the puzzle. Along with it, ArenaNet is adding a new condition - Agony. This new condition will be of critical importance for players planning to tackle the new dungeon, Fractals of the Mists. It seems enemies there will make judicious use of it, requiring players to have this "Agony resistance" of Ascended items to make real progress. How do you build this resistance? Through Infusions, of course! Another new system being added to the gw2 gold game:
"There are multiple types of Infusions and Infusion slots. In November, we’ll introduce Offensive, Defensive, and Omni Infusions of Fine rarity from new Mystic Forge recipes. Infusion upgrade types must be paired with their like slot, with the exception of the rare and versatile Omni Infusions which can be slotted into any type of Infusion slot. For now, Infusions slots can only be found in gear of a new rarity type: Ascended."
But what about Legendary items? Stat-wise, those were on-par with Exotics. What of them? To those of you who already worked your tushes off to acquire a Legendary item, there's no need to fret. Your stats will be bumped up to be in line with Ascended items.
There's a lot to take in with these new changes, and the community is currently well on the task of discussing it. Head over to the Guild Wars 2 blog for the full read, and please let us know what you think here. This is an important milestone in the future of the game!

GW2: Item spiral or not? - Ramon Domke on Ascended Armor
With the upcoming big November update will include ArenaNet The first Ascended items in Guild Wars 2, integrate the care for heated discussions. After Studio Director Chris Whiteside yesterday already declared that they wanted to generate any item spiral, and the German Community Manager Ramon Domke was now once again a player on some issues.
No item spiral in sight?
As part of its response Domke says that he can not say that 100% will come to the Ascended items never something even higher. The threat of a spiral of Item Community Manager does not in and cites as an example of Guild Wars 1:
Even if e.g. in Guild Wars 1 never Substantial changes were made, so are still with green objects (in later chapters) weapon combinations become possible, which would be Prophecies times been in the form can not be reached (15-power rod as an example) - and yet it is are not really. around a spiral Item
He also stressed that they would make the adjustments so that they would come to both new and existing content to bear. Existing dungeons through the new items would not be superfluous. "And this applies not only to the unique nature of the exotic armor design that you only get in each dungeon," said Domke.
There was talk in this case is not of item progression, but of "features that enable a progression, without the need to introduce a new animal resistant objects must". Such a possibility for progression put the new state "torment" is the new dungeon of fog fractals:
The dungeon has no end! However, it is becoming increasingly difficult. Through the agony we introduce you in this dungeon a hurdle that you either skillful play or the right equipment - and then later with both - must overcome in order to move forward. The whole dungeon is designed for you to have something where you can see as a rehearsed group "how far you are Beat" - without that be the goal "to complete the dungeon" is.

In yesterday's post said Whiteside, they wanted to offer a meaningful character development of exotic weapons to legendary without the gaping between a massive gap. Regarding the statement said Domke, this gap had the time or form of appropriation.
The exotic equipment for players should be a short-term goal, however, the legendary weapons were intended as a long term goal. New Ascended objects are now thought intended as a medium-term target for the way because not initially a complete set is available.
About raising the values one could have different opinions, which will also already discussed diligently. This is clear also in the team not gone unnoticed, he hoped, however, "that ye may know that the" fog of fractals "and the Ascended objects arise as a matching mechanism sense."
Gecraftete armor and trailers
On the question of a player, whether the new item level all plugged in gecraftete Armor efforts were in vain, Domke also stated that it is also the trades, especially in this case, look at the jewelers. This is not necessarily directly in the forthcoming update of the case, "but also the crafting is important core element of the gw2 gold game and should not vorbleiben outside."
Also Trischmiede, ruby, sapphire and emerald pendants are loud Domke still have their niche and maybe even afford better services than initially items with infusion slot. Especially in the "agony" but this area would have increasingly less important. In MMOs - whether with or without item spiral - but it will always happen that items are in high demand for some time, with an update at some point but then lose its value.

Guild Wars 2 The Lost Shores: Pre-Event Discoveries
With the Lost Shores over a week away until the grand reveal, I’ve compiled a whole host of teasers, hints and theory craft from various sources, for your reading pleasure.
The original post at here:
Whales and Dolphins!Surrounded by NPC’s throwing water buckets over the poor creatures, beached whales have begun to appear on shorelines across Tyria. You can find one of the giant creatures on the beach in Lion’s Arch. The most obvious question: why are they fleeing the ocean?
Ships, Ships, Ships!
There are four new ships being around Lions Arch (Harbor Waypoint, Claw Island Portage Waypoint and Sanctum Harbor Bay). It should be noted that one of the ships is underwater, while a second has a distinct symbol. To me, the symbol looks almost tentacle-like.
Posters Everywhere!
Four posters have appeared on message boards around Lion’s Arch. These were originally translated by Ashodin and the high resolution posters by Ralmante. The language used on the posters is New Krytan, the language of Tyria.
Poster 1:
Beware Flesh-eating swarms
Lion’s Arch Authorities are diligently combating an unstoppable onslaught of flesh-eating swarms. We apologize for the inconvenience. We ask that, for your own safety, to stand close and to let our professionals die horribly so that you may continue to live. If you rank yourself among the righteous then by all means assist in the extermination process. We are certain that somewhere, someone at some time will be grateful for your heroic, if not pointless, sacrifice.
Poster 2:
Warning
Dangerous sea monsters
Lion’s Arch Authorities kindly remind all visitors that sea monsters have rendered our beaches unsafe for the general public. Should you choose to ignore this warning then upon your inevitable, grisly demise members of our local pirate population will insure the fair division of your remaining, worldly possessions. Despite your potential horrible end, find comfort in the knowledge that you will soon no longer care and that you will have made a generous contribution to those who, ironically, have more respect of the rules than you do.
Poster 3:
Avast! Ahoy all ye landlubbers!
The hardworking members of the consortium are proud to announce the upcoming unveiling of your dream vacation! coming soon we will open the gate – the asura gate – connecting Lion’s Arch to a veritable tropical paradise of magnificent proportions!
swim in the radiant waters*!
relax on the beach*!
dance the night away*!
Prepare to hoist your jolly roger and to embark on a most majestic adventure with your favorite band of salty dogs!
Arr You Ready?
*Towels not included. The consortium cannot be held responsible for aquatic-related and rythmic-related injuries(or other injuries related to misadventure or otherwise general buffonery). Our medical staff will be on-call to happily ignore your needs should they inevitable arise.
Poster 4:
DANGER
Enter at your own risk
Lion’s Arch Authorities cannot be held responsible for missing/stolen/damaged and/or devoured appendages, small children, dinghies, fruit baskets, skritt, pumpkin flavored marshmellows, spoons, goofy hats, ascalonian salads, pocket watches, earrings, in-laws, spirits of the wild, eye patches, war machines, seraph, rhubarb pies, mystical artifacts of unquestionable power, mystical artifacts of questionable power, seeing-eye squirrels and carp."
Asura Gate and House
Close to the Claw Island Portage Waypoint is a new house with an Asura Gate nearby. Tying in nicely to poster 3, I expect this to be the main entrance point to the Lost Shores.
Sea Monster
Could this piece of concept art have anything to do with the strange happenings, rather than a dragon?

Bless us subjugates video
MMORPG running Unreal Engine 3 jaw we landed without any problems.
It is a fact, MMORPGs can be beautiful. Age of Conan, Aion or even the recent Guild Wars 2 have shown that online gambling could rhyme with rich graphics.
Offering ten races gw2 gold players, each with its own domain, you can browse Bless the kingdoms of Hierapolis and Cosmopolis, engaged in a war without thank you to the following religious and philosophical differences.
A team of 150 people working on the game since 2009, which is felt when you see the quality of the cutscenes (made with the game engine) listed below. It is hoped that the in-game graphics are up to the task, but it gives us at least very eager to learn more about the game.

There’s been a lot of madness going on in Tyria. But, perhaps even as you read this, it is coming to an end. The Halloween event for Guild Wars 2 reached its final phase today. What were the highlights? Did you go slaughtering with abandon in the Labyrinth? How many keyboards did you destroy in a fit of anger when running the Clocktower? The GuildCast crew tell us what their experiences have been and just how this first seasonal event for GW2 ranks alongside other MMOs. The rumor is that a big update is arriving on November 15. Can the source be trusted? And if so what does the information enclosed in the leak really mean? Is there a complete new addition coming to PvE? What landmass could soon be opened up for exploration? We ponder the possibilities. From November 1, free transfers are limited to once a week. Have people been server hopping? We talk at the reasons behind the restriction and whether it fixes the underlying problem. What is certainly an overlying problem is that guesting is not in the game yet. It is apparently coming soon, but with it coming much later than expected, what issues has it caused to the player base? The gamers four letter word “bots” has been a thorny issue and ArenaNet appears to be responding stridently. Has the dev team really “got this”? We talk about the prevalence of an issue that is of great concern to many. That’s a whole lot to of content to take care of but we still manage to squeeze in your viewer questions. Richie Procopio is unable to be with us due to the malevolent Sandy this week, best wishes to @bogotter! In his stead is GAMEBREAKER’s ever convivial Jason Winter along with Gary Gannon, ZAM’s Scott Hawkes and Massively‘s Elisabeth Cardy for a fright inducing episode of GuildCast!

Test: Guild Wars 2 - new edition of the MMORPG
On 28 August came the much anticipated Guild Wars 2 After years of development could ArenaNet and NCsoft finally publish the title for the PC. That the game designers have talent for multiplayer role-playing gw2 gold games, they already demonstrated with its predecessor and its extensions, as well as the MMORPG Aion. Unlike some competitive games Guild Wars 2 comes out even with no monthly subscription fees. We have tested the game for you of course. What can you expect, you learn in the following Review.
A world in chaos
Guild Wars 2 (GW2) plays 250 years after the events of its predecessor. Tyria, the game world has been devastated by natural disasters and by the forces of resurgent dragon. Much has changed. The people, the once dominant species in Guild Wars has to Tyria now share with other emerging nations, and the dispute for dominance is felt everywhere. But the real enemy, the mighty dragon that threatens to plunge the world deeper into chaos.
Five nations you shall be
The time in which the people have prevailed even over Tyria is long gone. In part, peaceful peoples have settled, while others have struggled to achieve their place hard. Each of the five races of the game has captured her pieces from the continent and settled there. But to save the world must unite enemies and competitors.
The playable races in Guild Wars 2 should be the first part of well-known players. Apart from the people you can still get into the skin of Charr, North, Asura or Sylvari. Each faction has its own unique history.
The Charr are a creation of, for example, cat and man, their culture is shaped by war and conflict. Once they lived underground, were able to fight their way to the surface. The North is a nation of hunters and warriors, they resemble Vikings and Norsemen. They lead a life to nature, worship animal gods, and act honorably. The exact contrast, the diminutive Asura. This goblin-like creatures use magic and ingenuity to create their own high culture. Each Asura for himself next to them do not survive the strong, but the smart ones.
The youngest people of Tyria are the sylvari. These beings are living plants that have taken humanoid form. They come into the world as an adult nature. Until they are fully grown, they rot in a dreamy state. The heart of her young culture is the "Pale Tree". In it, the ghosts all sylvari bundle of collective intelligence. This vision is reminiscent of the movie Avatar. So, the whole nation will benefit from the experience of individual.

How Blizzard Treats Customers
Hey all, just had a horrible experience with Blzzard, and thought the community should see it, so here it goes...
Hello ,I received your issue after you had gotten the Annual Pass cancelled.Could you elaborate or clarify what the issue is so we can look into it for you?Regards,David C.Customer ServicesBlizzard
On sunday, an officer of the guild i was in logged in, looted the bank, left the guild and put everything on the AH. This officer hadnt been active in the guild for about a month. He had told us he had issues and would be away from WoW gold. When he took everything and sold it it seemed very uncharacteristic, pointing toward a hacked account. I opened a ticket in regards to the issue and the response was that since the character in question had the privilege to remove items it was the guild's fault, and the items would not be reinstated. Now, it took many players from the guild months to establish the content that was stolen. I see it as a slap in the face to the many people who played the game as a team, while one individual is laughing all the way to the bank. Multiple subscribers opened tickets as well, only to get automated responses. No one even took the time to talk to us in game.I told my fellow subscribers that I will do everything possible to see our items reinstated, or quit the game utterly. Several share my viewpoint. I opened a nasty ticket in game, had my 1 yr sub cancelled, as you know, and began deleteing characters. My account was banned, perhaps I pushed too hard, but I am fine with being banned, as I am astonished as to how unfair the process was. Its like blameing a rape victim for being raped! At any rate, I did enjoy WoW, it was a fun product, but this recent experience has soured me to Blizzard. I had always thought you to be a fair company, but I'm walking away feeling like a victim. If there is any way to resolve the G Bank issue I advice you to persue it, otherwise there is a high probability that your company will bleed several subscribers in response to the way Blizzard handled this situation
I see, unfortunatly my department can do no further assistance with in game items as you're requesting. I see you have submitted a ticket to our in game support. Lets see what there response is and then we can try to see what our next step can be.Besides the in wow gold game issues was there anything that I could do for you in my department?Judah HCustomer Services
Thank you for contacting the World of Warcraft Game Master Department. After a thorough investigation of the guild bank loss you reported, it appears the member who made the withdrawals did so after legitimately receiving bank withdrawal access by the guild leader.Additionally, it appears that the withdrawals made by the member in question were within the parameters set by the Guild Leader via the guild rank they provided to the member. Please be aware that the Guild Leader assumes full responsibility for maintaining the security of the Guild Bank by limiting permissions and making judicious promotions, especially when they may allow for guild bank withdrawals.Currently, there are several in-game options that the Guild Leader can utilize to maintain a secured guild bank, located in the Guild Management window:- Authenticator required for withdrawal- Limit on gold withdrawal per day- Limit on number of items per day- Access to only specific guild tabsAs our investigation did not uncover evidence supporting the use of fraud or bug exploitation to make the withdrawal(s), we will be unable to provide restorations to the guild bank or recover the reported goods from the member who withdrew them. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. We encourage you to review our Guild Bank withdrawal tips
Regards,Game Master SylrrinBlizzard Entertainment
Wow, that is unfortunate. The character who stole from the bank recieved the access because he logged in after a hitus and the guild leader was happy to see a friend, so he promoted him. The guy then stole from everyone! This is not the guild leaders fault! It is the fault of Redrumurder. So you are telling me it is perfectly OK for someone to steal items in game? It is upsetting that no one will help with this issue. As a result of this incident my account has been banned, I presume for being nasty in my ticket, or for cancelling my 1 year contract. So, instead of helping a group of people, you chose to ignore our plight and send a message that stealing is OK. In my opinion what Redrumurder did constitutes harrasment, which does violate the ToS!As my account is banned you have lost ...1 a long term subscriber, and any future recurring payments2 mist of pandarea expansion sales3 the 1 year contract 4 any possible sales from Diablo 3 related products5 any sales from any future Blizzard products/itemsnow that in and of itself may not seem like a lot, but I can still communicate with my guild over ventrillo, and you will most likely lose several more subscribers, as they see how you treat people. now instead of losing hundreds, you willl be losing thousands in the long run!I will also post my plight in forums and any media available interested in publishing a customer's WoW experience. This will probably not cause you to lose any current subscribers, but will most certainly make a few new ones change thier minds and try something else.So in closing, the actions of Redrumurder, and your own inability or desire to correct the problem has directly and immediatly lost your company revenue, and will continue to do so! YOU LOST MONEY BECAUSE YOU DID NOT HELP A GROUP OF PEOPLE WHO HAVE BEEN LOYAL CUSTOMERS AND WHO HAVE BEEN WRONGED! YOU LOST MONEY!
So yes a mistake was made by a Guild Leader and the bank was looted, but look at how blizzard handles the situation. We are paying subscribers, and this is how they treat us. How hard would it be for them to actually help? Just like Netflix needed a reality check from its subscribers, so does Blizzard! In response to the way Blizzard has handled the situation I am going to continue to post in forums and share my experience. Ultimately WoW is a game and should be enjoyable, and most times it is, but when a real problem occurs, no one seems to care...its not my fault...its not my job.
In my opinion Blizzard needs to be reminded that we choose to subscribe! I propose a month, perhaps june or july, when subscribers cancel accounts in mass, to show Blizzard how to treat a customer! Look for it on Facebook!
If anyone has a horror story, please share it, thanks!

Q. How large is the world?
A. The current version of the map spans approximately 275 square kilometers and contains over 68 billion blocks. The highest part of the world, the peak of Mt Hyjal, stands more than a mile above sea level. Since the map Exceeds the Minecraft heightLimit, the world had to be divided into seven altitude layers, each connected via a server-side plugin that teleports wow gold players as they approach the height limit. To be played locally, the map requires 24 gigabytes of hard-drive space.
