Guild Wars 2 Flame and Frost Part 3 patch arrived yesterday


Patch day is generally an thrilling thing in MMO titles, and Guild Wars 2 is no exception. This afternoon will be seeing the release of the 3rd chapter in the ongoing storyline of Flame & Frost, The Razing.

Reviews of updated Event Page with Flame and Frost The Razing


  I didn't even read the rest of the information. I'd love that heavy armour on my warrior. Hopefully this is a sign of some new armour skins coming with the new content. I'd like the hairstyle more if it weren't for the ponytail. Maybe this is a sign of new character customisation options (beyond hair colours) to be added to the Guild Wars 2 gold game? I'm sure they will be hairstyle kit exclusives though.

  Those weapons look new as well.

  The only meaningful thing I see in that list is Supply Capacity (that will be a huge one for small ops groups that try to ninja towers, or servers with people too dumb to carry supply) and Siege Might. Depending the the increase of siege damage, you could see walls and gates melt a lot faster. This would be valuable for both big guilds and zergs hoping to break a gate or wall before they get overwhelmed as well as small ops groups like the ones running a cata siege under Briar on the borderlands or the ninja group at the northern gate of Bay.

  I'm not sure what mercenaries are, but if it has anything to do with supply camps I could see a niche use for that one. It's already possible to solo a supply camp, but doing this faster would always be welcome. We might see more aggressive small ops teams taking supply camps after this one goes through.

  Most of these thigns just help, but only Supply Capacity really lets you do things you couldn't do before.

  I really hope Braham's hair and shield become available somehow. They look great.

  Can't say I'm too excited for anything else honestly except whatever dungeon they decided to revamp for this patch (if any) and hopefully some class buffs.

Anyone else slightly disappointed with the story in GW2?


Before I start, I would like to share that I have played GW2 since release, and I honestly like the game itself.

My issue is that, to me, the story seems so weak and bland. It doesn't engage me, or make me care about the characters and the fate of the world it's set in. Even compared to GW1, where PvE and the story were a supposed 'afterthought', I find GW2 lacking. I found the story in GW1 really enjoyable to play by means of & in areas it honestly did appear like an epic struggle.

In GW2 I find alot of what takes place underwhelming, especially in Orr, where the story components seems quite rushed by way of.

My feeling is that alot of this is down to the level requirement for the quests, which successfully kills the flow of the story & makes each quest feel like an individual mission, rather than part of a bigger story. I also find myself missing the group facets of story progression that GW1 had, as having to do the entire story on my own gets a bit dull.

I 100% comprehend that ANet has made the game they want it, (& they have got alot of stuff right), & I'm not asking for any changes. I just wanted to give my opinion, & ask if any one else agrees/feels the same.

It is type of difficult to criticize GW2 gold on the private story front in fantastic conscience, for the reason that I can see that they attempted genuinely tough. They were willing to devote plenty of resources, try daring new concepts, trash out old iterations in favor of new ones, etc., nevertheless I nonetheless feel it wasn't adequate. Maybe they stopped trying too soon, & one or two more alterations could elevate the story to those epic proportions they aimed for. Although as of now, it all feels kind of hit and miss.

I think part of the reason I'm not satisfied with the story is because whenever you're doing it, you are removed from the world & put into a smaller, heavily limited copy of it. This makes pretty much all the story variables take place in a little, narrow corridor, where you are alone, nothing takes place without your input, & which blatantly says "this is not part of the actual Guild Wars 2 gold game, this really is a virtual space created for you".

That's only one reason of lots of, but perhaps it is the biggest one.

It's the end of culling as we know it in Guild Wars 2 WvW

Guild Wars 2: Patch notes for the update of 08 March - bugfixes for Living History and guild missions


The makers of Guild Wars ArenaNet have piped a new update for Guild Wars 2 on the live server, which fixes some bugs. Read details in the official patch notes.

The ArenaNet team played the previous night on a new patch for Guild Wars 2. The update is used to fix and should provide, among other problems from the world, the guest-guild members on completion of guild missions could get in the way. Should also guild bounties now scale correctly.

Fixed a bug that led to the invasion events are not started correctly.

Guild bounties
Guest-guild members now receive personal rewards for completing Guild missions away from their home world, Guild rewards are the Department of Homeland guild world of the player count.

Guest players are now able to start guild content off the main world the guild as long as a member of the guild main world will be present on the map.
Fixed a bug which meant that some guilds bounties are not scaled correctly for multiple Guild Wars 2 gold players.

A Failed guild bounty Sotzz the rascal was fixed that caused the NPC immediately a second time could be triggered.

History
"Discard the chains": A bug was fixed that caused that Hywel could die, preventing an advancement.
"Discard the chains" and "Apatias liberation": The Boss ability to summon more Krait was removed from these sections.

A bug was fixed that led to melee attacks were carried out irregularly.
The Prestige: The skill the combo box now properly triggers explosion at the end of the skill.

It is a Astonishing World Part 2


I angered the clerk in a clothing shop today. She asked me what size I was and I said actual, for the reason that I am not to scale. I like vending machines 'cause snacks are better when they fall. If I purchase a candy bar at a retail shop, oftentimes, I will drop it... so that it achieves its maximum flavor potential.

Fantastic world? No. Astonishing Theme Park I could agree with however I played Guild Wars 2 gold from 1-80 and explored most of the zones and there is no "world" out there. Just carefully placed objects and mobs, like a park, not a world.

Re-Exploring this in 3d is also amazing. Like reach out and touch astonishing. Just wish a lot of the grounds were a bit bumpier.

I have a 3d ready monitor & card for it just don't have the 3d vision glasses.. ill pick them up 1 day still like $130 bucks attempting to justify the fee.

Guild Wars 2′s guild quests explained - puzzles, bounties and chicken races inward bound

Guild Wars 2 in 2013: Arenanet reveal WvW precise abilities, living stories


One challenge every high-end player faces as they reach Guild Wars 2's level cap is "what now." What do I do to occupy my time now I've stopped levelling. The Guild Wars 2 team are not chasing growth for growth's sake; their first priority is to keep their existing players happy.

"Our focus is: how do we make it so the core group of players have the greatest feasible experience they can. If we continue to strengthen on that, that core group will be more excited, they'll play more mainly, & perhaps much of those that took a break will come back."

That sounds like an invitation.

"Guild Wars 2" is replaced by the second major update


ArenaNet have unveiled the next step in their 4-point plan update, entitled "Flame & Frost" for "Guild Wars 2".

The second update of "The Gathering Storm" will add new PvP maps, new missions, a new challenge system with which one can set their own goals, as well as a further part of the tangible history of the Guild Wars 2 gold game. This time, the citizens of Tyria withstand a storm.

Guild Wars 2 Dungeons have already been tweaked


So it appears the dungeons have already been tweaked & adjusted a bit which is a excellent thing. I ran twilight arbor last night and acknowledged that trash mobs appear to have had their harm output reduced quite a few along with their hit points seemed a bit fewer than previosly.

Healing overall appears a bit more valuable. Also the ability to Rez aero was not there as you can not release to a waypoint while your group is still engaged in battle. Meaning in the event you die you are out untill an individual either an individual aides you to bring you back or the group wipes or wins. Meaning if the group wipes you all come back together.

Great alterations IMO . Now only if they can find a technique to get individuals in the game to socialize more.

That will never take place. The game is built around solo play.

I don't forget in the dev diary them saying something like " ppl will group together naturally, & socialazing will be fluid" bla bla bla or something to that affect.

Nevertheless frankly it is just you the Guild Wars 2 gold player in the same farm with other other faceless players grinding out the same prgress bar. no more social than managing a four way stop at an intersection in traffic. No social interacting, just going by means of the motions with ppl next to you.

The way mmo's were: Community, Exploration, Character Development, Conquest.

The way mmo's are now : Cut-Scenes,Cut-Scenes, Linear Story, Cut-Scenes...
